BUSINESS RUGGEDIZED (TRAVEL PROTECTION)

The display, hard disk and keyboard are components that are most often damaged in conventional notebooks. This is why they are the focus of protective measures for the Toughbook Executive models. The robustness of the Business Ruggedized Toughbooks has been decisively improved with drop tests. So even in active operation they can withstand falls from a height of up to 76 cm without damage. The hard disk remains intact – a property that is very advantageous, especially for those travelling on business.

Accidental drink spillages (a further cause of numerous faults in everyday working life) cannot damage the Toughbook Executives – a special drainage system reliably protects the keyboard, touchpad and other sensitive components from splashes, particularly on journeys. A full 200-ml glass spilt directly over the keyboard and touchpad simply flows out through the drainage channels. All the electronics in the notebook remain dry and thus, intact.

Thanks to optimal pressure distribution, the Toughbook Executive models in the Business Ruggedized category also withstand pressure of up to 100 kg. Therefore, the sensitive LCD display, in particular, is safe from breakages and other damage. Damage to the hard disk from external shocks and vibrations is also prevented: It is integrated in an unbreakable magnesium case and equipped with four shock-absorbing pads made from high-tech material.
