Every fifth notebook defect is the direct result of liquid, dirt and dust getting inside of the notebook. Toughbooks resist all environmental influences due to their clever construction. Keypads and touchpads are sealed in all Fully Ruggedized and Semi Ruggedized models.
Thought out in detail: so nothing gets in the way of work.
Panasonic do not employ air vents in most of the Toughbook models this preventing dust and dirt particles from infiltrating the notebooks inside. Heat is simply released through the casing material. Also the card slots, plug-ins and interfaces are covered with rubber seals protecting them from the outside world.
All Fully Ruggedized models comply with the IP54 norm on water and dust resistance.
